- How to Cook Breakfast Over a Campfire
I have a secret dream of hosting a cooking show.
Julia and I enjoyed our three-day Memorial Day weekend camping in Linville Gorge. We could not have had better weather while we were there, and we took advantage of every minute of it.
One of the best things about camping is waking up in wilderness, and one of the best things about waking up is eating breakfast. This means there is great opportunity to make breakfast, while camping, an awesome event. Below is of a video celebrating breakfast over a campfire. I prefer to cook pancakes and eggs, and since ash usually colors the pancakes, I call them “ashcakes.” Cooking over a fire makes everything better! Some one please hire me so I can do this for a livin.

- Digital Bug Box
People who know me know that I love bugs.
I can’t help it, I think they are amazing! Years ago, when I was a bachelor, I had a little bug box that my mother had given me, and I would collect little critters to put in it. I would like to point out that no all of the bugs I put in there died. I was able to keep some things alive for weeks before I’d set them free again. When I moved in with my dear friend, John Raux, it became a problem. At one time I had a pet Praying Mantis and an large unidentified spider. I kept the mantis in the bug box, and the spider in a jar. I fed them both moths that gathered around the back porch light. I was overly fascinated with them, and still am to a certain point. I evened named my musical efforts after my favorite insect!
Below are some recent photos of some friends I have met, but not captured, since I moved to North Carolina. I gave up the capturing of things until I can do it properly. Right now I have no decent home for them.
My photos are being resized improperly. Click on them to see the right dimensions, and please stay tuned as I fix the strange things going on around here since I upgraded WP.

- Collage Blog Interview
Check out NotPaper.net
Aprile Elcich is a designer and collage artist in Toronto who started a blog focused on collage and the people who practice it. She found me on Flickr, and asked if she could interview me for her site. She has posted the image below as the main image of the interview. I had forgotten about that one or I would have included it in the Letraset post I did last week! Be sure to flip thru her site, because there is a lot of great work. Read the interview here.
